Dissolving [Cr(NH3)4Cl2]+in water give rise to green coloured compound . What is it ??? Why H2O simply donot replaces the Cl- ions from the complex to form [Cr(NH3)4(H2O)2]+ ???

Dear Swapnil,

 The trick is to divide each complex into separate ions from the species inside the square bracket and outside the bracket.

 Will ionise into [Cr(NH3)4.Cl2] + (aq) and Cl- (aq) ions.
