How do we find out the two species are isoelectronic? We count only valence shell electrons or total number of electrons?

Isoelectornic species are groups of elements/ions which have the same number of(total) electrons.

Iso electronic species means species having same no.of electrons in the atom.

we should count all the electrons present in the atom.
