Dear Umesh Jakhar,

The Central Atom is Iodine(I) & it is surrounded by 6 fluoride ions !
It also has a lone pair !

It goes as this IF6- = 6 bond pairs + 1 lone pair !

Remember that for Pentagonal Bipyramidal you must have 7 Bond Pairs & no lone pair !!

So this assumes the shape of a distored octahedron & not a pentagonal bipyramidal shape !!

Hope you understood !!

All the Best & Good Luck !!Smile
