it is said that ozone contains a double bond as well as a dative bond.but the formation ofdative bond requires a lone pair of electrons as well as a empty orbital.but oxygen do not have a empty orbital in its valence shell.can u plz explain?

it has empty orbital. ec- 1s2 2s2 2p4 . thus it gets the tendency to form dative bond.

moreover it forms during high temp ( eg lightening) causing fesibility of the reaction in ionsphere.
