What happens in the volumetric analysis of HCl vs NaOH ,after adding the phenolphthalein indicator ? Why it turns to colorless in the end point ?

Dear student,

 it turns colorless in acidic solutions and pink in basic solutions, as HCl is added it neutralise NaOH and at the end point all the NaOH is consumed .
