Active mass of any amount of pure liquid or any amount of pure solid is one.

In the expression for equilibrium constant, the active masses of solids or pure liquids is raised to power zero because, any thing to the power zero is one, that refers to active mass=1.

Hope, this is what you are looking for, if context is chemical equilibrium!
