1)Amount of oxalic acid present in a solution can be determined by its titration with kMnO4 solution in the presence of H2So4 .the titration gives unsatisfactory results when carried out in the presence of hcl

Titration with kMnOsolution is done in acidic media.
.the titration gives unsatisfactory results when carried out in the presence of hcl, because kMnOsolution can oxidise hcl to chlorine gas but it cant oxidise h2S04. 
So for 1) h2S04 provides only medium bbut in 2) hcl gives medium and behaves as reactant also
