Basically each and every topic is important but if you want to get a better idea to focus better just open any previous years papers book and u ll get the question break up chapter wise. Otherwise as far as i remember Thermodynamics is a very important chapter in both chemistry and physics then equilibrium even hydrogen in chemistry considering how small a chapter it is and there were two questions the past year. Even polymers in that respect

In physics Emi magnetic effetcs of current ,electrostatics gravitation and rotational motion apart from thermodynamics form the bulk of the paper.

Dear student,

From point of view of competitive exams Physics, the number of questions asked is most from Mechanics and Electromagnetism. But the level of questions is relatively easier from Modern Physics and Atoms and Nuclei, but questions from those are less. So preparing for the former topics would be much more helpful.
