question mark

When you say “cut off” for general category is 124 marks(jee advanced 2015), does that mean the person getting that mark will get the last seat in iit or the last rank in jee advanced?

Heyy..
By the cut off, we actually mean that you will be eligible for an IIT.
Now, the person with the marks nearly equal to the cutoff will for sure get a rank but that will not gurantee him/her a seat in IIT.
For that, you have to wait for the counselling lists and all..

The cutoff means that the candidate getting less than the calculated marks (say 124) will not be able to get admission if he /she has go marks less than the cutoff...........just check your status where are you – in or not...if you are not able to get into there then you may have another option to try at other reputed and esteemed colleges/universities....if asked, i may suggest to choose any of these – B V Bhoomraddi CollegeEngg and Tech, Hubli,............Rungta college of Engg and tech, Bhilai,...........lovely Professional Uni, phagwara….….…....JJTU rajasthan..................BHU, Varanasi
