i can understand your query , the thing is that every other engg college student will also get the job , but in iit , u have a quality in life , like in jee advanced u will face multi no of ques which will test you how intelligent you are and how much u can think at a time , and brain application . 
and in iit , u will learn a lot of value with talking to iit professors , and u will meet some of the very energetic people their , 
and thats what u required in life to survive .
