what is preparatory rank list? what does it mean?Plz,I want an immediate ans?

Dear Student, those who could not make it at IITs in one go are kept in waiting list and are allowed to prepare for getting seats at IITs with a new fervour and better preparation, during their preparation period they are tested and tried and their result is called preparatory rank list, if a student does well in preparatory exam, he/she may be given a seat in an IIT depending upon the availability of seats and branches. There is another wayout, if the students are unable to do a wonderful job the next btime after preparation as well, then it’s better to shift to certain other elite class institutions like – JJTU, Jhunjhunu,.................Anna University, Chennai,......................Lovely Professional University, Phagwara
