Dear student
To find paramagnetic compound just add the number of electrons in outermost orbit of all the elements of compound, if the sum is odd then the given compound is paramagnetic.

HELLO THERE!

Basically Paramagnetic compounds are those which have an unpaired electron.

Hence, to find out whether an element/compound is paramagnetic, just write down its electronic configuration. (If you are given an element, then its easy to write: if you are given a compound, then you have to follow the Molecular Orbital Theory for writing down the electronic configuration.

If the number of electrons in the last orbital is odd, i.e., there is a presence of unpaired electrons, the compound/element becomes Paramagnetic (and is attracted by magnets).

For example, Iron is a paramagnetic element.

for para magnetic characterstics  element should one or two unpaired electron in thier valence shell
if 3 or more unpaired electron then it will diamagnetic
