Two particles initially seperated by 72 m having initial velocities 1m/s and 2m/s respectively and accelerations 1m/s^2 and 2m/s^2 respectively are moving towards each other. Find the time taken to meet.

let after t second they will meet each other . then sum of distances covered by both in t second will be equal to 72m
Now, distance covered by 1st particle , s = 1.t +1/2 .1.t²
distance covered by 2nd particle, S= 2.t +1/2.2.t²
sum of distances =72 = t+2t+1/2t²+t²
after simply we get (t-6)(t+8) = 0 => t = 6 second
hence, after 6 second they will meet each other.
