two blocks of masses 5kg and 2kg connected by a massless spring are placed on a frictionless surface. An external kic gives a velocity of 28 m/s to the heavier block in the direction of the lighter block.Calculate the (1) Velocity gained by the centre of mass and (2) Separate velocities of the two blocks, in the referece frame attacked to the centre of mass, just after the kick.

M1 = 5 kg M2= 2 kg

So, impulse is provided to hevier mass i.e; 5 kg block

M1V1 + M2V2 / M1+ M2
5 x 7 + 2x 0 / 7
35/7 = 5 m/s
