IIT JEE Entrance Exam

The latest Times of India news on 14/12/14 titled “IITs out of bounds for students born abroad“ appears to be incorrect and unresearched.
PIOs and OCIs are on par with NRIs in Education rights, so they can’t be barred from appearing for JEE Main. What is right is, PIO/OCIs cannot take admission to NITs/IIITs/CFIs other IITs through JEE Main channel, they have to go through DASA. However, if PIO?OCIs clear JEE Advanced as well, they can apply to IITs and other CFIs which also require JEE Advanced Scores.

Yes Anant, you have rightly heard that NRIs(Non- resident Indians) who have indian pasport and settled in some foreign land, PIO (Person of Indian Origin) / OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) or those people who have Indian origin but have got nationality of another country and passport of a foreign country  –  have been put at par and for sure yes they have to cross DASA (Direct admission of Students Abroad) and then they can appear in competitive tests aand can apply for IITs or CFIs (College Foundation Inc).....and if they fail to make it at IITs or CFIs then they may try seeking admission at other elite class institutions where they may be given quality education along with getting bes ever plaements, they can simply visit the weblinks of – Orissa Engg College, Khorda,........Lovely Professional Uni, phagwara….…..DIT Uni, Dehradun,.........Guru Jambeshwar Uni of Sci and Tech, Hisar
