Should we write jee mains to study biotechnology and what`s the best way to study biotechnology

as biotechnology is a engg branch ,so, for getting good college u must have to write jee mains , and by that u can do biotech in nit and iit . else , u will get simple state level colleges , 
so, dnt go with simple state govt colleges , as biotech doesnot have that much demand in india currently . 
so, if u can clear jee and enter into any nit / iit that will be better for biotech . 
”for studying biotech u need to do experiment with plasmid and e.colli , dnt worry u will read all these in 1^st year engg course , and if u have taken biology in class 12^th , then its also their .
