s it true that in order to get BARCH in IIT Roorke or Kharagpur we have to clear jee mains paper 1 not paper 2.......... i have red in many sites that in order to get BARCH in IIT we first have to clear jee mains paper 1 and then we have to clear jee advance and after that during the counsling of jee advance we can opt for barch as an option for which we have to give AAT.........in jee advance site it was written that a person must qualify jee advance in orderto be eligible for AAT.............is that the case
i m expecting around 240 in jee mains paper 2 but i will not be able to clear cut off for jee mains paper 1 will i be able to give aat for iit if i am clearing jee mains paper 2

Candidates desirous of joining the B. Arch. (Architecture) courses will have to PASS in the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT). Only those candidates who have secured an all India / category rank in JEE (Advanced) 2015 are eligible to appear for AAT in 2015.

Only those candidates who are desirous of opting for the B. Arch.program available at IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee as one of the choices while filling-in their choices online will be eligible to write AAT.
Candidates must register online at the JEE (Advanced) portal for AAT.
AAT will be conducted only at the seven Zonal IITs.
The test will consist of one paper of three hours duration.
The question paper for the aptitude test will be available only in English language.
No separate admit card will be issued for AAT. The original admit card of JEE (Advanced) 2015 should be produced in the AAT examination hall.
