Hi,

If the course is equivallent to +2 and falls under PCM category than your son s eligible for JEE Main. CBSE will consider thoes level marks which are equivalent to +2.

There is no mention of IPE as such but the general eligibility goes like this :

According to newly defined formula by MHRD, the 40 percent class 12th marks are taken in consideration with 60 percent JEE Main 2014 exam. the final merit and result will be decided on the basis of class 12th score as well as on JEE main 2014 entrance exam.
Before the explanation of the eligibility criteria, I request students to kindly visit the JEE main 2014 syllabus link. To check JEE Mains 2014 syllabus, visit this link.
Syllabus will give you brief idea, what topics to study and how to study. The new rules and regulations added confusion among the students. The complete JEE main 2014 exam eligibility criteria is as follows-
The candidate must fulfill the required age criteria. There are certain conditions set by the JEE board. The students must satisfy all these conditions in order to get admission in top JEE main colleges.
Started with the age limitation such that date of birth is important while checking eligibility criteria, last year it was October 1988, all those whose date of birth after the 1988 are eligible. So, for 2014 I expect all those whose date of birth after 1989 are eligible for JEE main 2014 exam.
The age relaxation is given to reserved category candidates like schedule caste/ schedule tribe and PWD candidates. The 5 year upper age relaxation is given to candidates with reserved category.
All those who passed class 12th either in 2012, 2013 or appearing in 2014 are eligible for JEE main 2013 entrance exam, For 2011 batch students, I suggest them to wait for the official JEE Main 2014 notification.
The candidates must pass the 5 subjects and minimum aggregate marks should be 50 percent. For B.Arch students, Including Mathematics, they must have aggregate of 50 percent marks.
The totals of three attempts are provided to each student. There are some colleges and universities conduct their own entrance exams. In order to know their eligibility criteria, you have to visit and check their official website.
