Do not take year drop, it is seen that most of the times rank only decreases fafter droping one year.

if you did not get govt college then world is not over, there are a lot of good private colleges. private colleges are far beter than the govt colleges you can try for private University.

It is also seen that students of private universities like SRM, AMITY, LPU are earning more than the students of govt colleges.

HI, I myself am a repeater from FIITJEE. Last year my AIR was 61K. This year it is 16K. so it all depends on how you repeat. If you choose to drop out, my advice to you is never regret it. I personally know a guy who repeated and got AIR 808 for advanced. And if you are confident of getting a good NIT/IIT/IIIT?BITS next year, do drop out. Because 10 years down the line, saying i graduated from an NIT/IIT/IIIT/BITS will have MUCH more value than any private institutes like SRM, AMITY etc. And please, when you look at placements of private university, do your research properly. Average package is NOT THE ONLY CRITERION. If Bill Gates walks into a room 100 beggars, the average worth of each person is millions. Does that mean everone is a millionare? Choose Wisely.
