Dear student,

No, that is not true. The online applications for JEE Main will begin in December. However the exam would be conducted in April 2019 only.

The nta might conduct the exams twice in a year in april and December but they haven't officially announced it yet so you should not take stres just prepare.
Hey I think this is a good decision taken by the cabinet to allot a separate body to conduct competitive exams
But it is not clear that how will the nta conduct exams

Union MHRD Minister Prakash Javadekar announced the National Testing Agency, NTA Exam Schedule today at a press conference. NTA would now conduct JEE Mains, NEET twice a year. Previously conducted by CBSE, Next Exam of UGC NET would be conducted in December, JEE Mains in January and April.
