Dear student

Squaring on both the sides

2x +1 - 2x +1 - 2sqrt (4x²-1) = 1

sqrt (4x -1) = 1/2

Hope it helps

I think you made a mistake while squaring it in the third step
Kindly check again.
It is (a-b)^2 = a^2 + b^2 -2ab
And you wrote instead
(a - b)^2 = a^2 - b^2 - 2ab

Dear Mahima

I have used this as

sqrt (1- 2x) and sqrt(2x-1) , theirs square are same hence I have use that term

Please Arun refer back to the question
It is √2x+1 - √2x-1 = 1
Squaring it , we would get
       2x+1 + 2x-1 - √4x^2-1 = 1
God knows how you cancelled 2x from the above eqn when both are of plus sign.
