If a student scored good marks in JEE advanced more than cutoff but he did not attend any question of a particular subject like maths then will he be able to take admission in IIT or not?

No dear, you have to pass minimum cutoff for all the three subjects. In that case only you will be considered as pass and you will be eligibelf or counselling
