If a student fails or is absent in cbse improvement exam but earlier got 88% .would he bo eligible for jee2017?

yes, u are elligible for jee 2017 . as you are absent in the cbse improvement exam , then your previous marks will be counted and for JEE u need minimum 75 percent marks in PCM average . 
if u have that then no problem , u can easily give jee . 
and from 2017 the criteria might change , i am not sure abt that , but ryt now its the condition .
