Grade 12IIT JEE Entrance Exam

I got 102 for JEE(main) 2016, which is above the cut off score for general. I belong to OBC-NCL category and i have applied to JEE(main) under that category. I wish to apply to JEE(advanced), but I haven’t gotten my OBC-NCL certificate yet. Is there any way I can still apply under that category? If not, can i apply under general for JEE(advanced), after having applied as OBC-NCL for JEE(main)? Will doing so change my category for JEE(main)?

I guess you will have to apply under general category as you have stated that you do not have your category certificate with you...do well, get god marks and be sure you make it at an NIT/IIT, else try seeking admission at – Hindustan University, Kelambakkam,.........Lovely Professional University, Phagwara,...........BHU, Varanasi,..........BITS, Pilani

no, u should have to apply under that catagory which u already mentioned in the jee main application form , otherwise the candidature will be invalid , beacuse at the time of deciding the rank , u will get a separate rank for obc ,
if u donot have the certificate with you , then no problem now , bt you have to write a declaration to jee dept of iit guwahati , and tell them that u will give it later , they will suggest you the method , one of my friend did the same ,
dnt apply fpor general , u will going to loose a lot by doing that .
HOPE IT CLEARS YOUR DOUBT ..

I am sorry to disagree on these lines,.....won’t it be a case of forgery?....and what if the student fails to produce category cetrificate? won’t this be depriving a category candidate from seat?
