i am so confused....... i secured 1 lakh rank in jee mains 2019.so i think i wont get into NIT ...and i thought while doing my 1 st year engineering i would simultaneously take coaching and prepare foe jee 2020.what do u say is it a good idea or is it impossible?do u think we can do that?PLEASEEE I NEED EXPERT ANSWERS. I AM FREAKING OUT.

Don't think so that you couldn't. You can do preparation while in 1st year too.
You can give it a chance.

If you are firm on getting admission in IIT then going to different college for first semester is not advisable as preparation would suffer but to answer specific question is it possible yes it is few students do it so you also can do it, where as you dont wish to commit one year for this with full risk then consider admission
