Most of the students do not pay much attention to topics like:- s, p, d blocks, transition elements, surface chemistry, coordination compounds, gaseous state, nuclear chemistry, chemical equilibrium and stereo-chemistry. These topics are not only easy but do get questions in IIT JEE Chemistry papers every year and hence are very scoring but still students do neglect them

Important points
1.Every year in JEE, 40-45% questions come from Physical, 25-30% question come from inorganic and rest come from organic chemistry.

2. Questions on topics like atomic structure and chemical bonding are really important and come every year in JEE PREPARATION.

3. Students must pay extra attention on electrochemistry particularly relating to cell reactions, EMF, Oxidation-reduction half cells and standard potentials.

4.NCERT is must. OP tandon, RC mukherjee are good reference books.
