yes , pearson is a good book for jee preparation . and once u jump into class 11th then go with h c verma , as h c verma is not for class 10 student and its not that better . 
so, if class 10th go with pearson publication . 
and alongwith that , u can choose mtg publication foundation series . they are also awesome . and do attempt , ntse , olympiads , to keep track of your score in all india level .
