Yes there are lot of benefits
For aspirants belonging to SC and ST categories, 15% and 7.5% seats are reserved in every course in all the IITs and ISM Dhanbad. Candidates coming from these categories are announced qualified on the basis of relaxed criterion.
A total of 27% seats are reserved in IITs and ISM Dhanbad for candidates belonging to OBC (Non Creamy Layer) category. To avail the reservation benefits, a candidate will be considered as OBC only if he/she belongs to the non-creamy layer category.
Cuts off relaxation is there for differnent categories. For SC/ST students cutt-off relaxation is high whereas for OBC its slightly less then General Category. It is one of major benefits.
