if the vessel is completely submerged:
acc=0
if it is half submerged:
we need the distance ,how much it has been pushed

Chandan, we can calculate that it is half submerged(H/2 is in the liquid) and it has now been pushed by a distance x . and we have to calculate its initial acc.
(ans. is 4gx/H where g is gravitational acc) but mine comes out to be 2gx/H ????

Draw the free body diagram of it
You ge the eqtion
2*d*h*A*g-d*h*A*g=d*h*A*accelation
g=ac elation
Hence acceleration of the cylinder is 10 m/s
