Core jobs for B.Tech graduates are very few in number, with an average placement of 6-7lpa and 8–9lpa for Integrated Dual Degree(IDD B.Tech and M.Tech) graduates. Placements generally involve companies such as Tata Steel, DRDO and other core companies.

You can expect a handsome job and a good salary from nits 
There is no need of getting into iits
But it is better to pass from a good college
