NITs allotment is based on JEE mains rank. No where related to JEE advanced rankings.

What I have learnt is JEE mains helps one to get into IITs and one gets into an NIT on the basis of performance in Advanced. and if it does not happen there, then some other options can be tried as there is no dearth of reputed institutions. These days it does not matter much whether some body gets a degree from a privately run but quite esteemed institution or from India’s high profile IIT/NITs...so without any second though, just go for surfing the details of – Rajasthan Technical University, Kota............Shivaji University, Kolhapur,........GITAM uni, Vishakhapatnam................Lovely Professional Uni, pHagwara
