An aeroplane of mass M requires a speed v for take off. The length of the runway is s and the coefficient of friction between the tyres and the ground is u. Assuming that the plane accelerates uniformly during the take off, the minimum force required by the engine of the plane for take off is ?

Let the force applied be F then net force on aeroplane will be F-uMg
Therefore accleration will be a= (F-uMg)/M
Now apply v square-u square =2as  here u is initial velocity=0
Hope that helps u
