A machine gun is mounted on a horizontal frictionless surface.At some instant the gun fire`s bullets of mass 10 gm. with a velocity of 500m/s w.r.t car.The no. of bullets fired per second is10. The average thrust on the system is :-options,550N,50N,250N,250dyne.

Velocity of bullet = 500 m/s
Momentum attained by every bullet 
= mass * velocity 
Pbulllet = 5kgm/s 
 

Total force exerted by the bullet over car is the sum of all momentum of bullets fired per second.
Force on car  = n0 of bullet per sec * Pbullet 
Force = 50 kgm/s^2 
Force = 50 N
Force on car = m * a
50 = 2000*a 
a = 0.025m/s^2
