Orthogonal means Tangents from that variable line to the curve should be prependicular. The curve given is parabola of form( y^2 =4ax) . In parabola directrix is line from which prependicular tangents can be drawn. And we are given that it passes through ( 3,6). Equation of directrix for parabola Y^2 =4aX is X=A and value of `A` in the above question is 1/4 . After this you will get your answer.
