Atomic weight of Boron is 10.81 and it has two isotopes 5 B 10 and 5 B 11 . Then the ratio 5 B 10 : 5 B 11 in nature would be (a) 19:81 (b) 10:11 (c) 15: 16 (d) 81: 19

(a)

Suppose that,

The no. of 10B type atoms = x

and the no. of 11B type atoms = y

Weight of 10B type atoms = 10x

Weight of 11B type atoms = 11y

        Total no. of atoms = x + y
