How I get the forms Of IIT?
Can any person seat on IIT, who is studding already in 1st year of Engineering other than IIT collages?

1. A candidate can submit application either on-line through internet or off-line through paper application.
(A) Off-line: A candidate can buy an application form with information brochure from any one of the designated branches of banks by paying Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PD/Female candidates (Yellow Colour envelope) or Rs.1000/- for all other candidates (White Colour envelope).
The Information brochure contains details regarding application procedure, syllabus of JEE, examination centres, courses available at various institutions, counselling, fee structure and other relevant information about JEE-2010.
(B) On-line: For online submission of applications, visit any of the websites given below and carefully follow the instructions given therein.
Application material can also be obtained, by sending a demand draft along with two self-addressed slips, from the "Chairman, JEE", IIT Bombay, Mumbai-400 076; IIT Delhi, New Delhi - 110 016; IIT Guwahati, Guwahati - 781 039; IIT Kanpur, Kanpur - 208 016; IIT Kharagpur, Kharagpur- 721 302; IIT Madras, Chennai - 600 036. IIT Roorkee, Roorkee - 247 667.
The demand draft of amount appropriate to category/gendermust be drawn on any Nationalised Bank in favour of "Chairman, JEE" of the respective IIT payable at the corresponding city. Candidates applying from abroad should remit the amount in Indian Rupees. Application material will be sent by Ordinary Post. IITs will not be responsible for any loss or postal delay.
Eligibility Criteria for IIT JEE:
To be eligible for admission through IIT JEE a candidate should have passed class 12th or equivalent with atleast 60% marks in aggregate. There is 5% relaxation for SC/STs. Besides that a candidate should not be more than 25 years as on 1st October 2009. For SC/STs a candidate should not be more than 30 years. Only those candidates who have passed 12th in 2009 or are appearing in 2010 can appear for IIT JEE.

Hi Pushkar,
IIT JEE application forms are expected to be available in 3rd week of November. The forms can be bought from the designated branches of banks depending on the zone, details regarding which will be available with release of admission notification. The forms can also be requested by sending a demand draft along with a request for the form. A candidate can also apply online through IIT website by filling the required details in the online form and sending the printed form along with Demand Draft and other documents to specified IIT.
Important Dates(Tentative):
Date of Examination: 2nd week of April, 2010
Date of availability of forms: 3rd week of November, 2009
Last date for receipt of request for application form: 3rd week of December, 2009
Last date of receipt of completed application form: Last week of December, 2009
Declaration of Results: Last week of May, 2010
