Sibal Summons IIT Heads

New Delhi: Concerned over the errors in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2010, Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal on Monday summoned IIT Directors for an explanation. The IIT heads reportedly said that the Joint Admission Board (JAB) of the institutes would meet later this week and gave an assurance that irrespective of the errors in the question papers, a correct answer would fetch the marks due.

The Directors of IIT Delhi, Guwahati and Madras assured Sibal that students would not suffer on account of the errors in the question papers. While a fresh JEE 2010 — as demanded by some including Bihar CM Nitish Kumar — has been ruled out, the JAB will hold an emergency meeting on May 2. It will follow that up with a detailed response on the JEE website, explaining to students that the total scores will not be compromised owing to the errors. The JAB will also deliberate on remedial measures strengthening the vetting of the JEE question paper

Why the current HRD minister Prakash Javadekar is silent on JEE Advanced 2017 issue (Several tweets has already been made to him). Is he waiting for guidance from Mr. Kapil Sibbal on this account.
