A body either in state of rest or uniform motion tends to continue that until and unless an external opposite force is given. The state of body tends to oppose this external force and this property is called inertia.”For induction too specifically self induction, the same is true. When a supply is given to inductor, its transient response shows that it opposes this supply initially and then allows passage of electricity. Now, if we put off the switch, again transient response shows that it creates counter effect and tends to oppose this by creating electric flow through it continued by self induced mmf.So, yes we can say that self induction or induction in Electrical parameters exhibits inertia in mechanical parameters.
