When i checked my weight on a scale it showed 60 kg. what does that indicate,my mass is 60 kg or my weigth(m*g) is 60N?
I checked a body in spring balance it showed a reading of 20(kg) ,but the same thing on a weighing scale almost same value.why is it so?please help me.

mass is every constant in the universe .but our weight changes whch depends on the value of ‘g’ which changes from one planet to another.in the first case your weight is 60kg (iam wishing u checked u r weight on earth) therefore u r mass is 60/10=6kg.which is constant .therefore it indicates u r mass is 6kg and u r weight is 60kg.
weight can also changes on the conditions (i.e. when u r travelling in a lift).
from this we can CONCLUDE WEIGHT DEPENDS ON THE EXTERNAL FORCES ACTING ON IT WHILE MASS IS CONSTANT.
