Answer :

The energy of the object is conserved because the obly force acting on the object is gravitational force which is a conservative force . The conservation of momentum though DOES NOT holds good as the force of gravity acts in the direction of motion of the object thus resulting in a reduction of the momentum of the object during its upward journey.
