Whenever we want to mention the essence of length that is too far, we use the length scale called 1/g or c2 / g in more conventional length units. Here, c is the velocity of light and g the acceleration due to gravity and c2/g turns out to be just one light year.

C2/ g = 3 x 108 / 10 m/s2 = 9 x 1015 m which is approximately equal to 0.97 light years.
