A Polaroid is artificially prepared thin, large sheet of crystalline polarizing material capable of producing plane-polarized light.
Uses of polaroids are:
Used to produce and analyze polarised light as they are cheaper.
To view three-dimensional pictures.
Used in motor car headlights and windscreen.
Used in sunglasses to avoid the glare of light
