what is difference between the atom or molecule of a dimagnetic and a paramagnetic material?

Atoms/molecules of diamagnetic substances have electrons that can be grouped in pairs with spins in the opposite sense. In paramagnetic materials, atoms/molecules have excess electrons that spin in the same sense.
