Let these force are
F1 = F\hat{i}
F2 = F\hat{j}
Then resultant force 
Fr = F(\hat{i}+\hat{j})
so angle beteen Fr and F1
cos\Theta = (\hat{i}+\hat{j}).(\hat{i})/\sqrt{2}.1  =  1/ \sqrt{2}
Then \Theta = 45
