a = 4i + 3j , b = 3i + 4j
magnitude of a, |a|=\sqrt{(4)^2+(3)^2}
                                        = \sqrt{16+9}
                                        =\sqrt{25}
                                        =5
magnitude of a, |a|=\sqrt{(4)^2+(3)^2}
                                        = \sqrt{16+9}
                                        =\sqrt{25}
                                        =5
magnitude of b, |b|=\sqrt{(3)^2+(4)^2}
                                        = \sqrt{9+16}
                                        =\sqrt{25}
                                        =5
a + b   = (4i + 3j) + (3i + 4j)
=(4 + 3)i + (3 + 4)j
=7i + 7j
magnitude of a+b,|a+b| = \sqrt{7^2+7^2}
  =\sqrt{49+49}
  =\sqrt{98}
  =7\sqrt{2}
a - b   = (4i + 3j) - (3i + 4j)
=(4 - 3)i + (3 – 4)j
=(i – j)
magnitude of a-b, |a-b| = \sqrt{1^2+1^2}
 =\sqrt{1+1}
 =\sqrt{2}
