the work function of copper is 4.0 eV. if two protons, each energy 2.5 eV strike with some electrons of copper, will the emission be possible?

No, Here we are referring to the particle nature of light. Here, Only if a photon of 4 eV or greater falls on copper, the emission will take place. If light only had wave nature, then many photons together making the energy of 4 eV over a period of time would be able to emit an electron from the metal.
