The rotational KE of a body is given by E = ½ IW2 , where ‘W’ is the angular velocity of the body . How do you get the dimensional formula of I from the given equation ?

Putting dimensions :-
 
[E]=[ML^2T^{-2}]
[\omega ]=[T^{-1}]   \Rightarrow    [\omega ]^{2}=[T^{-2}]
 
Now from the formula,
 
 
[ML^2T^{-2}]=[I][T^{-2}]
 
Cancelling same terms on opposite sides we get,
 
[ML^2]=[I]
 
Hence the awnser
