If the distance between two consecutive crests in a wave train produced in a string is 5m, then
then k = 5 meter wher k is the wavelength of the wave.
and w = 2 rad/s given as two complete waves passes through any point.
Therefore,
 
Vw = w/l => 2*5/2*pi = > 5/pi m/s
