Density of pure milk = 1080 kg/m3

1080 kg/m3 = 100 % pure milk

Density of diluted milk = 1032 kg/m3

1032 kg/m3 = ? % of milk

1032*100/1080 =95.56% of milk

Thus, the percentage of water by volume in milk is

100 - 95.56 = 4.44 %
