The capacitance of a parallel plate capacitor with air between them is given by the formula:
C=\frac{A\epsilon _{0}}{d}
where A is the area of the plates and d is the distance between them.
However, If a dielectric is introduced in between the capacitors, The capacitance becomes
C=\frac{KA\epsilon _{0}}{d}where K is the dielectric constant of the dielectric.
