The capacitance of a parallel plate capacitor with air between them is given by the formula:

$C=\frac{A\epsilon _{0}}{d}$

where A is the area of the plates and d is the distance between them.

However, If a dielectric is introduced in between the capacitors, The capacitance becomes

$C=\frac{KA\epsilon _{0}}{d}$ where K is the dielectric constant of the dielectric.
